Album Review: Kreator-Hordes Of Chaos
Germany has dished out some of most brutalizing intense artists of our time, a handful being thrash metal bands and this act in particular tends to get the rowdiness up and running instantly. Bringing out their forthcoming twelfth studio album is KREATOR – “Horders of Chaos,” is being described as their most organic album to date. Due to the fact of having that barring vocals, killer gripping guitar solos, with some ground breaking melodies brings this album up to speed putting it into overdrive sending the speed limit to a zillion! The album was recorded using a live setting 4-track tape recorder with no overdubs or anything to get in it’s way putting out an record that is a true masterpiece to the thrash metalhead in you. Indeed this record does bring out the insane side of you with opening tune “Hordes of Chaos (A Necrologue for the Elite),” this 5 minute thrasher will tear you in half with it’s non-stop pacing drumming blast beats to its mellow edge but fast driven guitar soloing riffs breaks everything down allowing the vocals to just place themselves out there fitting into their proper place as the song is being played through. Next we have “Destroy What Destroys You,” which again brings out that insanity inside of you having the drums doing most of the work getting your head spinning in an amount of whirlwinds you won’t know what hit you! Each riff leads directly into the next song and goes off into a non-stop whirlwind of adventure! “Demon Prince,” concludes the album letting you witness the demon that you have become letting you meet the Prince of the demon world having him command you’re ever move of what Kreator has sent your way and that is “Hordes of Chaos,”that’s been unleashed!
