Album Review: Brian Head Welch-Save Me From Myself

Many Korn fans will be pleased with Brian Head Welch’s new album, Save Me From Myself. The album combines a touch of Korn’s old music, with some attention-grabbing “choir-ish” sounds, and even a few string sections, which were done by Head himself. But don’t worry…..that distinguishable down tuned Korn guitar is still there! Also, some of Brian’s vocals surprisingly sound similar to Jonathan Davis, front man of Korn, which is even more reason for every Korn fan to go out there and get this CD! For once in all the music that’s out there today, it’s somewhat nice to finally see an artist with motivating, uplifting, and amazing hard rock music. The lyrics focus on the previous mistakes Head has made in his life, from doing meth, beating his wife, and many other things, and I’m sure the album will help many teens worldwide help, “Save Them From Themselves”. Head has previously released a book, also titled Save Me From Myself, which landed on the New York Time’s best seller list, and has since then sold over 70,000 copies. Currently, Brian is on a promo tour to celebrate the release of his new solo album. The remaining dates, along with some songs from his album, can be seen and heard here: http://www.myspace.com/brianheadwelch.
